Bearden Productions Center for the Arts began as a vision from a 2nd grader back in 1988. Our Founder and Director Legenia Bearden dreamed of attending acting classes so that she could perform on stage and/ or in front of a camera. Unfortunately, her family was not in a position to afford acting classes. Because of this, she vowed at the tender age of 8 to make sure everyone could have access to art classes regardless of their financial situation. Since our formation in 2006 by Mrs.  Bearden, BPCA has reached over 3,500 children and families in the state of Arkansas through its after-school classes, summer camps, and theatrical performances. Our acting classes, stage productions, dance classes, and kid's cooking classes give interested youth in North Little Rock, Little Rock, and surrounding areas an opportunity to experience the arts in a fun safe environment for little or no cost.
